Caroline Khoo. A name that is bound to be categorized as household, it is just a matter of time.
On a mission to create the most beautiful cakery in Melbourne (yes, Australia) Caroline has shared her incredibly artistic designs via social media which happens to be where I stumbled upon (and have since been obsessively liking) her delectable posts. One after another Caroline’s passion for photography, style and art seep through her magnificent photographs displaying a sense of fashion, sophistication and chic- ness to all of her baked goodies; a duo I can honestly say I have not seen before, certainly not to this extent. Retrieving inspiration from nail art in one photo to using an advanced photography effect in another the combinations of Caroline’s incredible raw talent make her Instagram borderline stalkable (yes, I made that up.) After deciding that I needed these little Christmas tree cookies that are splashed with pastels and resemble more of a piece one would find in a museum than a cakery I decided an email asking if she ships to the US would not be completely out of the ordinary. After all, wouldn’t you travel the world for the prettiest cookie you’ve ever seen? After receiving a delightful and politely put “we do not ship to the US” reply I have now moved on to considering a plane ticket just to get into Caroline’s magnificent cakery.
