Meet: Natalie Bovis, The Fierce Force Behind The Liquid Muse

Love a #bosschick who is not only cool, savvy, beautiful and with-it but also wildly brilliant AND a do-gooder? Meet: Natalie Bovis. In 2006 Natalie launched The Liquid Muse and was one of the only women blogging about mixology on the web. As she learned about spirits, their history, and cocktail culture, she shared it with her readers and her following, developing a readership so fierce and so loyal that she got the huge recognition of being featured in Marie Claire Magazine, Washington Post, and other largely notable outlets.

Since then, Natalie has been building OM with co-founder, Jason Monkarsh. She says “it has been a wild ride being a small brand with a limited marketing budget to play in the same arena as the “big boys” but it’s an adventure I would not change for anything!” Their current focus is on their chocolate flavor (which BTW literally has the coolest packaging and branding I have ever seen not to mention it being absolutely delicious!)

As if that weren’t enough, Natalie has her FOURTH (yes, FOURTH!) cocktail book that is out this month called DRINKING WITH MY DOG: The Canine Lovers Cocktail Book. This book has been a dream project for Natalie as she is a devoted animal advocate. She plans to use her book signing parties around the country as vehicles to raise money for shelters and rescues in those communities. You can buy the book here:

Additionally, Natalie works with the The James Beard Foundation on their Taste America dinner series, helping to guide the local producers and chefs in various cities. And, naturally, Natalie created the first annual cocktail festival in New Mexico, which she is bringing back in 2023, post pandemic!!!
