The old Saks shoe floor on East Elm is about to become the most talked about classroom in town.
So this is really happening. The building at 20 East Elm, the one that held Saks shoes and Urban Outfitters before it, is set to reopen as something almost nobody saw coming for downtown Greenwich. An AI school. @alphaschool_2hrlearning is bringing its K through 8 model here this fall, where kids do about two hours of academics a day guided by AI and spend the rest on the things most schools cut first.
I have thoughts. A lot of them. Some of the sharpest families I know are already quietly asking about the list, and the parking fight at P and Z is going to be its own kind of theater. And wait until you hear what’s next.
