Lie Down & Listen is coming to New York for the first time, and it is exactly what it sounds like. You lie on the floor, candles everywhere, and let Philip Glass’s Metamorphosis move through you on piano. Part concert, part sound bath, fully horizontal.
The whole thing started with a chance meeting at the MoMA cafe between pianist Christina McMaster and Professor Sir John Strang, inspired by the lying-down concerts of the 1970s. Now it lands at The Refectory in Chelsea Square.
September 27 and 28. Two nights only. Booking at liedownandlisten.com before your entire group chat catches on.
