Big news! Our all time favorite and go-to luxury department store is treating itself and getting its very own makeover. It’s true – the Greenwich chain of Saks Fifth Avenue is revitalizing and reinventing itself as The Collective, a modernized, contemporary, and more expansive version of the already renowned fashion chain.
This store will serve as a “prototype” of sorts in a location best suited to test its success. As Greenwich is close to the city yet beautifully unique and extravagant in its suburban oasis, there is no better place to implant The Collective’s first establishment. This new space, constructed in tandem with design firm FRCH, will expand the selling space within the store to 14,000 square feet, allowing for more opportunity to showcase their brand empire to include a whopping total of 53 designers (compared to the previous 23), and of course, to create more excuses for you to open up your wallet and indulge.
The bottom floor will sell the Saks classics ranging from name brand and designer clothes, accessories, and active wear to cosmetics and perfume, while the top floor will serve as a “Sak’s VIP Styling Suite” adorned with private fitting rooms and a lounge where you can sit, relax, and admire your swankiest shopping splurges.
This is not the first time Greenwich has served as a launching pad for Sak’s latest and greatest retail innovations; earlier in 2016, Saks opened a shoes only store, any girls dream, and later in 2017, they will embark on The Vault, a boutique where you can pamper yourself in all things jewelry. With the cumulative Saks Shops at Greenwich, and as the new and improved Collective will rejuvenate an iconic shopping destination, you can bet your bottom dollar that this will become your new passion and inspiration destination for all things luxe.
