New to town, or soon to be, restaurants have popped up like wild flowers throughout the past year in and around Greenwich, CT!! A huge kudos to all restauranteurs of Fairfield County who have been serving us all with such grace throughout COVID. With the courage to open new business, especially in times that were so very scary during COVID, these people are true role models for us all. With more courage than most, these marvelous restauranteurs throughout Fairfield County chose to spend their time creating and building on what they already had rather than panicking, resulting in a fleet of unique new restaurants that are now open! While a handful of these are almost open, the others are already booming with full houses as foodies from all over come their way. CAPULI – WESTPORT
With a quiet, late January entrance into Westport, the former location of Westport Pizza, relocating their young family from California to Westport, Owners Andrea and Chef Armando Brito were searching for just the right location to open a restaurant and were thrilled with the newly available space in their new hometown. Chef Armando brings over 20 years of experience from Bay area restaurants such as Corso, Rivoli, Bistro Liaison and Rick & Ann’s. He was also a private chef for Kappa Beta Theta in Berkley and was awarded a scholarship to cook and learn about the various cuisines in Italy
THE COTTAGE – GREENWICH
Chef/Owner Brian Lewis of The Cottage and OKO has officially shared the exciting news of bringing The Cottage to Greenwich, Connecticut. Located at 49 Greenwich Avenue, the 60+ seat restaurant and bar will support local purveyors and farmers by sourcing ingredients directly from them and using them in the signature American style of cooking that Chef Brian Lewis is so well known for. While we are unsure of the exact open date for The Cottage Greenwich, their already well populated Instagram account has already created a buzz with an eager foodie following.
