When it comes to home decor, bringing the natural elements from outdoors IN is one of my favorite ways to honor nature while still remainingg warm, and, of course, cozy! Right now, literally, is the perfect time to dive right in and get involved with this favorite pastime of mine for one reason: making these few, small, seasonal adjustments can truly make the entire house feel more like home while also giving you the breath of fresh/ new air you were craving to begin with in wanting a redesign! But the best part? You can get exactly the same satisfaction for legit under $100. Keep scrolling.
For the fall months I love to mix the natural materials with one another in unexpected ways (mostly through presentation) and let creative linerty rule, allowing myself ro just see what ends up looking best! Often times it is the most random of all combos that wins in the end! Whether the pieces are a variety of woods, driftwood branches, twigs, unique clay or pottery pieces, etc. pieces that simply remind and orreflect the outdoors will do the trick, this is all of course to each their own! Sounds simple and maybe even not believable but trust me: these small details make a huge difference in morr ways than one!
GG tip and trick: when transitioning from summer to fall I like to include a hint of nautical rope throughout the home decor indoors, oddly enough despite its nautical vibe, its density is a beautiful offset to what could otherwise be an almost stark ambiance if one were to be decorating with just the usual other contenders mentioned above on tbeir own.
Let’s talk #’s: for as low as $5 (IKEA, woven placemat!) or for the very fair price point of just $28 for an awesome driftwood twig tray – see pic- (FROM WALMART!!!) you can mix things up for way less than even $100 and feel like you have totally redecorated! If budget isn’t a concern, then be sure to check out our chandeliers under $300 because we are obsessed and they are still under budget without even trying! If you want some super spectacular lighting options go to Chloe Winston Lighting in South Norwalk- you too will see the light like I did when I went last week – all sround amazing experience, employees and merch!
And wtb all of this time we have been spending at home why not give yourself a little refresh?! Check out some of my favorite pieces for a seasonal flare of natural elements indoors in the pic collage!
