A GG’s Cheat Sheet To Knowing How & How Much To Serve When Hosting

We all know that a party without enough food is like showing up to a formal event under dressed: there is nothing worse. Well, GG’s, with Covid on the loose I think it is fair to say that these days there is in fact something a lot worse!
Without getting too deep into what we have all heard far too much about, it goes without saying that obviously masks and sanitizer Should be provided, plenty of soap and distance should be a given and considered as top priority when hosting any sort of gathering during covid. That aside, let’s move onward with the next priorities.
The highest anxiety when hostessing any sort of gathering is the worry that Godforbid you may not have enough food and or booze. As a result I always, always, ALWAYS have wayyyy too much of everything.
Before you go buying Costco out of Tupperware, first consider your crew. Is your party a cocktail affair with appetizers only or a dinner party where apps may be on the lighter side due to the fabulous entrèe and delicious sides that you will be serving? Wine or hard liquor? Figuring out these answers will help you organize the timing of each course, bev pairing, and, most of all, quantity.
