Holy Ravioli and Other Spiritual Experiences in Carbs

November always feels like true fall to me. It’s the fleeting few weeks where you can still get away with not wearing a coat – but for the days that feel more December than fall, there’s nothing more comforting than a warm, cozy bowl of pasta.

As a self-proclaimed pasta enthusiast, I’ve done the work (happily) to find the best ravioli dishes in town. And with temps dipping into the 30s and 40s, I consider it a public service to share which ones are worth bundling up for.

The truffle oil gives it that perfectly indulgent edge, while the pea shoots add a bright finish that keeps each bite balanced.

Le Fat Poodle – Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Truffle Oil and Pea Shoots

Rich, earthy, and decadent without being heavy. The truffle oil gives it that perfectly indulgent edge, while the pea shoots add a bright finish that keeps each bite balanced. It’s comfort food with couture energy — just the kind of meal that makes you forget how cold it is outside.

Polpo – Ravioli Tartufati

Polpo’s homemade cheese ravioli in a velvety truffle cream sauce is pure luxury. The texture is silky, the filling is luscious, and the aroma alone could qualify as aromatherapy. Pair it with a glass of Pinot Grigio and it’s basically an instant mood lift.

Bianca – Butternut Squash Ravioli with Buffalo Ricotta, Butter, and Sage

This dish tastes like fall wrapped in a pasta pillow — slightly sweet, perfectly nutty, and balanced by the savory butter and sage. And if you’re lucky enough to go on a day when they have the spinach ravioli special, get it. It’s lighter than you’d expect, packed with fresh spinach, and somehow makes you feel like you’re being quasi-healthy (key word: quasi).
