I love bringing the outside in with decor. Fusing natural elements and neutral palettes adds comfort and warmth to any sized space. You can easily do this yourself by adding just a few items made of materials and textures like linen, burlap, branch or twig touches, wicker/rattan and driftwood. I am a huge fan of the neutral palette so I tend to favor accessories that fall within that color wheel and I opt for items that I can use year round: burlap, branches, bark, twine, and lately, cement! (more on that later!) As of late I have been finding that simple runners, linens, napkin rings and coasters can really make a big difference for little cost and effort. I also find that rather than the big name brands you can find all of these on etsy.com for a fraction of the price! But to score locally check out places like Terrain in Westport, McArdle’s in Greenwich, Greenwich Orchids, Hoaglands and Simon Pierce.
