Talk about the restaurant destination of all restaurant destinations. Tucked just off the Post Road in Cos Cob, Greenwich & Delancey sits quietly… almost too quietly for the biggest secret in town. Blink and you could miss it — but once you step inside, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
From the moment you walk in, you know you’re in for something special. The space is intimate but not cramped, cozy yet absolutely pristine — truly one of the cleanest, most immaculate kitchens and dining rooms I have ever seen. The stacked logs lining the glass barrier add a warm, nostalgic touch, and the greeting from Rabbi Tovia, who oversees the kosher kitchen, immediately makes you feel at home.
I’ve never experienced kosher cuisine in this way, and I was fascinated to learn that the Rabbi is involved in every detail — blessing the food, lighting the fires, and ensuring that every single ingredient and step meets the highest standard. The entire operation feels intentional, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in tradition.
The Menu: Eastern Europe, Reimagined
Chef David Teyf brings a fresh, modern perspective to Eastern European comfort food — the flavors you know and love, but elevated with technique, creativity, and a level of care you can taste in every bite.
This food doesn’t just taste good.
It tastes clean.
It tastes right.
As I said over dinner, “This restaurant has now ruined all of my future dining experiences — because now I know how food should taste.” And I meant every word.
My meal began with two unforgettable amuse-bouches: the Minsk Matsa Babka and Chicken Blintzes, followed by a plate of house-pickled tomatoes and pickles — half sour, half sweet, all perfect.
Then came the showstoppers:
• Smoked Pistarami Mini Donuts (not so mini!)
• Signature Franks in a Blanket
• Greenwich & Delancey Chicken Fingers
• Shiitake Mushroom Deviled Eggs
• And of course… the legendary Tableside Pastrami Experience
Let’s pause there.
Because this is not just pastrami.
This is Chef David’s version of omakase — a culinary ritual where he carves the pastrami before your eyes. Each cut has been cured for weeks, resulting in buttery, melt-in-your-mouth perfection unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. If you think you’ve had pastrami before, think again. This is the crown jewel.
Don’t Miss: Their Modern Brooklyn Egg Cream
And then there’s the Egg Cream — a Brooklyn classic reimagined. Made with U-Bet’s iconic chocolate syrup, bubbly seltzer, and creamy almond milk, it’s dairy-free, frothy, fizzy, sweet, nostalgic, and honestly, just plain joy in a glass. No eggs, no cream — just pure delight.

A space that feels both comforting and elevated.
A meal you will remember long after the plates are cleared.
