I love nothing more than sitting down to compose a good, old fashioned, hand written note. To this day I save every single one that I receive, keeping them neatly stacked and tied with a dainty ribbon in a small box, tucked away in my bedroom. I have so enjoyed collecting variations of stationary over the years. There is such an art in hand written letters….especially in the world of screens and all tech that we live in today. There also is a lot to be said in the thought behind the papery. Getting married has only made this little hobby of mine that much more enjoyable. When I got married I had the honor of meeting and working with the best, most talented and patient, paper extraordinaire I have ever met. Her knowledge truly was fascinating to me, her passion unmet and to say she knew truly every single literal detail about everything in the arena of invitations, etc. is a wild understatement. I have since obviously never strayed. Thanks to Shari, the fabulous owner of Bespoke Designs in Westport CT, (who I am clearly, mildly, infatuated with) I have continued the paper frenzy and now, happily, have a full blown stationary wardrobe, complete with many options not only for myself but also with joint stationary, monogrammed for my husband and I as a unit. Speaking of, I have now ordered my husband stationary (unbeknownst to him!) because he absolutely needs it. More on that when it arrives! Stay tuned for more scoop on the fabulous Shari in my upcoming wedding edition where I will be sharing all the details on everything from the GG wedding!
