Game on!
Generally speaking, after-dinner games are a perfect way to let loose and keep the good times going. They provide a buffer for awkward social skills and add fun to any get together.
I don’t know how your holidays roll out, but games like Charades and Trivial Pursuit (along with Cards Against Humanity in more recent years) have long been family tradition in mine. Such games bring with them the pre-req of brushing up on your trivia (or suffer the shame of not knowing who invented penicillin!) and the golden rule of participation NOT being negotiable…under any circumstance.
Throughout the years other games were introduced here and there but none of the newbies seemed to stick with our traditional go-to’s. That is until recently when I was introduced to a game that is so wonderful I just have to share it with you.
Meet: Synco. A game that admirably and effortlessly masters the art of all-inclusion while providing a wholesome, fun and exciting experience for all. The way in which Synco bursts with fun is, in my opinion, solely based on one huge differentiating factor when compared to any other game I have played to date: the way it is played (and won) genuinely thrives on the opposite of competition and, through simply participating in a round, in fact unifies every player to one another rather than pitting one against another.
Instead than feeling as if you may not be up to par with others vast knowledge of trivia or trends of any kind, Synco is a game of common ground, with an objective of exactly that: getting as many answers as possible that MATCH those of other players!
Perhaps better described and more adequately put is the description found on the Synco website, Synco is “a rare game that brings people together. The more you sync up, the higher you score!”
The rules are simple: draw a card, on which is written a broad and familiar subject, like “things you do in the morning.” Everybody writes down five things that fall within that subject. Share your answers, and score points for every person who wrote down the same thing as you.
Watch the video to see the thrill of being in sync.
I can’t tell you how well this simple formula works!Instead of making you worried about knowing the right facts or trends, Synco gets you excited to share your answers and see who else thinks like you.
Whether it is a family holiday, to just have on hand at the house or to give as a gift (a perfect stocking stuffer), the game of Synco is a contagious, fabulousand wholesome way to spend any time with friends, family and or strangers alike!
