Rosé all day.
Oh yes GG’s you truly CAN have it all: Driscoll, the company 99% of us purchase berries from at Whole Foods, just unleashed the latest berries to delight us all, which they reportedly spent over 2 years crafting: Rosé and The Sweetest Batch.
Rosé berries include strawberries and raspberries that legit mirror the sweet, heavenly taste of everyone’s summer pink wine, rosé. These berries are said to have a “sweet, peachy flavor paired with a soft floral finish” and even professional foodie judges have given their nod of approval and validation in noting that these berries are way sweeter than the average strawberry. But don’t let the blush color throw you off, they are not ripe, their palette is intentional to reflect that of the sweet hue we all know of our all day companion, rosé.
Facts:
-no alcohol in these berries, but you barely need it.
-no, they were not “genetically modified. Driscoll’s team of agronomists, breeders, sensory analysts, plant health scientists, and entomologists research and develop unique varieties of fruit, a process that can take several years and is done through traditional breeding methods.”
We salute you, you genius scientists at Driscoll. Brava! Crossing our fingers that these little bundles of berries fly off the charts this season so they can go nationwide next year!
Available at: Whole Foods in Northern California and through Fresh Direct on the east coast, through September.
