Welcome to Sag Harbor! As we are finally entering the summer months, we thought we’d jump ahead to beach season with this weeks “A Day In…” special. Join us!
Estia’s Little Kitchen: To start your day, Estia’s Little Kitchen is the perfect place for a yummy breakfast and early morning recharge. This locale has become a “staple in the Hamptons for decades”, and chef Colin Ambrose’s food is nothing if not scrumptious and affordable. Moreover, Estia’s is “the perfect hidden gem in the land of constant turnover and overprices, sub-par cuisine”. They said it, not us. For the most important meal of the day, you’re going to have an impossible time trying to choose just one breakfast meal. To make your choice even harder, here are some options: “nacho mamma’s” omelet, chocolate chip pancakes, crab ‘n’ eggs, “wu-tang migas”, huevos nortenos burrito, steel cut oatmeal, and so much more. Be sure to catch them for breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner on Thursday-Saturday, and get ready to fall in love.
The Dock House: Now, as us GG’s love a good food outing, on to lunch. We’re taking you to The Dock House to get that perfect Hamptons and New England-y feel that we know you’ve been craving. Located at the end of Main Street in Sag Harbor, this seafood restaurant and market, named rather literally, is as fresh as you can get, and if you’re looking for the best lobster roll ever or some unbelievable oysters and clams, you will absolutely love it here. Not only that, their chowders were ranked best in Sag Harbor from 2012-2015. Some other menu items include baked clams, calamari, shrimp cocktail, grilled salmon, tuna, and swordfish, seafood burger, fish tacos, fried whole clams, cracked lobster, chicken… if you want it, they’ve got it. And you’re in luck – they are officially open for the season, so get over there fast!
Salon Xavier: After an afternoon of eating, time for some pampering. Salon Xavier Day Spa is the ideal spot to sit back, unwind, glam up, then get out to enjoy the “fun and fabulous Hamptons”. It was opened in 2007 by Master Stylist Xavier Merat, and they strive to offer you the best in “cutting edge hair and spa services to help you de-stress, rejuvenate and look amazing”. What else could you ask for? They have ranked as best salon for countless years, and they even have “house calls, boat calls, and bridal party arrangements for hair, makeup, nails, massage and skin care”. Their hair services include cut and style, color, highlights, lowlights, and treatments, and their spa boasts of hand and food treatments, facials, massages, waxing, and miscellaneous offerings like tinting, spray tans, and makeup application. And when we say they have a service targeted for everyone, we aren’t kidding; they provide treatments for women, men, teens, elder folks, pregnant women, and brides…seriously, you will find the perfect place here and feel like royalty.
Life’style: Last but not least, for some retail therapy, we bring you to Life’style. Located on Main Street, Life’style is “a contemporary fashion boutique for the woman who wants to look and feel her best every day, in every part of her life”. We’re already hooked. Everything they offer is meant to embody “style, versatility and comfort” and ranges from basics, designer, accessories, gifts, denim, day-to-evening, and beyond. Owner Debbie Rudoy opened Life’style in 2007 and expanded the store in 2011 to provide even more amazing pieces, and her number one goal remains in helping every woman maintain their confidence to the highest degree. The brands they celebrate include but are not limited to GRLFRND Jeans, Generation Love, Beyond Yoga, Majestic, Nation, Tracy Watts, Wolford, Velvet, Rag & Bone, and many more.
