Are Relationships in College Stupid? by Kate Gibson
Alright. You’ve got your guy and you still have 3 more years of college ahead of you. Was this a bad idea? Many college students have put a bad stigma on steady relationships in college, and for what? Bullshit that college is all about promiscuity.
This is NOT TRUE. College isn’t about sleeping with as many people as you can, or even finding your husband, which many women still do today. College is about finding yourself. I guarantee that you won’t find yourself in bed with that frat boy you hooked up with the night before.
So if you do happen to find a special someone during your glory years that people tell you to go crazy, remember that you aren’t missing out on a whole lot. You get to miss out on guys who will use you for sex. You’re missing out on being obsessed with getting guys’ attention. You’re missing out on possible walks of shame and waking up with a stranger.
I’ll take a real relationship with someone I love any day. You may say that guys don’t think that way, but you’d be surprised. Not very college guy wants to sleep with anything that moves. They’re out there ladies. So instead of giving relationships in college a bad name go get a nice guy and figure out who you are together.
