What Would YOU Want To See At The Round Hill Store?

WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TO THE ROUND HILL STORE NEXT?

The Round Hill Store is a standalone building on, you guessed it, Round Hill Road. Nestled between the colonials and backcountry estates, it has long served as a daily go-to for locals.

The store has been here for 225 years and was in the hands of the same family for 111 years and four generations.

And over the years, not much has changed.

Over time, the property has served as a deli, gas station, automobile repair shop and even had an apartment upstairs. Inside, it still feels a little like stepping back in time, with wood, glass cases and old-fashioned trinkets throughout.

But there are definitely no bells and whistles. There is a deli, and that is pretty much it.

And while the deli is good, I'm sure plenty of fellow GGs have had a thought or two about what else this place could become.

Personally, I would love to see a refreshed country store with really good baked goods and coffee, more everyday provisions for backcountry residents, and a dedicated space to display and preserve pieces of its history. Something that feels like more of a true neighborhood destination while still maintaining the integrity and character that make the place special.

Now, the new owners want to hear what the community thinks.

The Round Hill Association is holding a community meeting Wednesday, September 23 at 6:30 PM at the Round Hill Community Church Parlor, 395 Round Hill Road, to discuss what residents would like to see in the store's next chapter.

So Greenwich, what would you like to see happen to the Round Hill Store?
