Greenwich Has a Peptide Atelier. Here’s What That Actually Means.

Peptides are everywhere right now. They’re being talked about for everything from recovery and body composition to skin, sleep, longevity and sexual health.

But if you’ve been intrigued while simultaneously thinking, Okay, but who is actually overseeing all of this?, Suma Life House in Greenwich has built an entire program around that question.

Suma recently launched its Peptide Atelier Program, and this isn’t positioned as a walk-in, pick-a-peptide-and-go situation.

According to founder Kristin Updike, Suma’s medical team spent six months researching the space, completed certification through the SSRP Institute and brought in a peptide-industry consultant to help train the team and develop its protocols.

The result is a program designed around ongoing medical care throughout a client’s peptide journey.

So, What Exactly Is a Peptide Atelier?

It begins with a consultation.

Suma’s medical team reviews a client’s bloodwork and medical history and discusses individual goals before a provider develops a personalized protocol.

Once enrolled in Suma’s Peptide Membership Program, clients receive education and training around their prescribed protocol, access to the medical team seven days a week, and receive bi-weekly appointments with our medical providers and quarterly labs.

That ongoing component is the part that caught our attention.

Rather than positioning peptides as another treatment to add to a wellness menu, Suma is approaching them as something that requires evaluation, monitoring and continued medical support.

What Are People Using Peptides For?

Suma says the protocols available through the program may be used to address a broad range of goals, including recovery and repair, skin and hair health, body composition, weight optimization, longevity, cognitive function, mood and sleep, and sexual health.

Which peptide, if any, is appropriate for a particular person is determined through the medical consultation and individualized protocol rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

And considering how quickly peptides have gone from niche wellness conversation to something seemingly everyone is asking about, having an actual medical team involved feels like an important distinction.

Wednesdays at Suma Are Changing, Too

There’s another change happening at Suma this fall.

The space is now closed for regular appointments on Wednesdays and reserved for events, creating what Suma calls its Stay Vital Events.

The concept brings other local wellness and lifestyle businesses into the space for experiences that mix treatments, education and community. Suma recently partnered with Walker & Wade for an event featuring the brand’s fall collection alongside demonstrations of Suma treatments.

The space can also be privately rented for parties and events, with the option to incorporate Suma services and staff.

And there’s a date Greenwich should put on the calendar now: Suma Life House celebrates its one-year anniversary on October 14.

We’ll share more details on that celebration as they’re released.

For now, if peptides have been sitting firmly in the I keep hearing about this but have no idea where to begin category, Suma’s new Atelier might be a good place to start asking questions.
