Dr. Casey Schack Is the Greenwich Trainer Who Will Come to Your House

I found Dr. Casey Schack, a Greenwich physical therapist and trainer whose Instagram makes strength training and nutrition feel doable — and now she's offering in-home visits to assess your workout space and set you up with a program.

I feel like I am always looking for the right mix of workout and nutrition help — someone who makes it manageable, knows what they're talking about, and gives me a routine I can actually stick with. I think I've found her in Dr. Casey Schack, a Greenwich physical therapist and trainer, and I have to share.

I go through my phases with working out. If you read my latest barre post, you know I'm very much in my gentle-workout era — small movements, nothing that involves someone yelling at me to do another burpee. But I also know I need to make room for strength training. Building and maintaining muscle matters as we get older, and I want to be more consistent about it.

No fluff, no intimidation, no making you feel like you need to rearrange your entire life to get started.

The question is always: where do I start? There is so much out there.

While scrolling last year, I came across @drcaseyschackgreenwichpt. Truth be told, I've known Casey since high school. She was always the healthy, beautiful, friends-with-everyone girl who was as down to earth as could be. She's now a physical therapist who has built her career around helping people feel stronger and healthier, which makes perfect sense — she has always lived it.

Knowing her made me pay attention. Her advice made me keep coming back.

Casey's Instagram is one of those accounts you pop into for a minute and somehow leave with 10 saved posts. A protein- and fiber-packed pasta alternative. A quick lunch on the go. Ways to fit strength training into your day. Her "quick a** workouts," which I especially appreciate. Useful, everyday things that make taking care of yourself feel doable.

That's what I love about her approach. No fluff, no intimidation, no making you feel like you need to rearrange your entire life to get started.

She also just told me that if you have a workout space at home, she can come over for an assessment and help set you up with one of her trainers for a consistent program. Having someone look at my space, tell me where to start, and give me a plan? Yes, please. I'm scheduling it.

If you're looking for everyday tips, workout inspiration, or some help getting into a rhythm, go follow @drcaseyschackgreenwichpt. Just leave yourself enough time to scroll.
