You may have spotted the billboard at the Greenwich train station, or maybe you've read me rave about this place before, because it really is that good: A Okay Wellness, tucked into a cozy yet spacious corner of Cos Cob. Owner Alessandra Okay has built a workout and wellness studio that doesn't feel like a typical gym, and that's exactly the point.

This season, A Okay rolled out three things worth knowing about: an expanded Private Studio built for small groups, a brand new recovery treatment called The Deep Reset, and two new monthly memberships. The machines that made A Okay a local favorite are still the heart of it all — here's what's changed, and what I'd actually book first.

Tucked into a cozy yet spacious corner of Cos Cob, owner Alessandra Okay has built a workout and wellness studio that doesn't feel like a typical gym, and that's exactly the point.

The Machines Doing the Heavy Lifting Start with the BodyShape treadmill and horizontal bike. It's low-impact cardio that doesn't cost you your joints, with infrared heat, collagen-stimulating red light, and vacuum compression layered into every session. The heat raises blood flow to ease inflammation and speed recovery, the red light supports collagen and elastin for firmer-looking skin, and the compression gets your lymphatic system moving. A Okay says sessions can burn up to 1,000 calories, and after my own sessions I've left feeling noticeably lighter and less puffy that same day.

Alessandra's recommendation is simple: add BodyShape to your current workout routine twice a week. It's the sweet spot that supports your body while maximizing the cardiovascular and lymphatic benefits.

Then there's the SensoPro, a Swiss training system used in physical therapy and elite athletic training. It sharpens balance, coordination, reaction time, and stability, challenging your brain and body at the same time without straining a thing. Pre-programmed video modules keep every session varied, whether you're training to perform, rebuilding after an injury, or just want to move through life a little freer.

Finish on the Infraroller, a full-body wooden massage roller with built-in infrared heat. It works deep into tight muscle and fascia, reaching what stretching can't. You'll leave lighter, looser, and more aligned.

Bring Your Friends The expanded Private Studio is where A Okay really shines. With a SensoPro, a bike, two treadmills, and three Infrarollers, it's built for groups of four to six guests for 90 minutes. It's still semi-private by design, so there's no crowded gym and no waiting for a machine. You get to move, recover, and actually catch up with your friends, all in the same visit. It's also a genius setup for a small wellness party.

The Deep Reset A Okay's newest recovery offering pairs three things in one session: 15 to 20 minutes of PEMF, which uses gentle, low-frequency magnetic pulses to support relaxation and the body's natural recovery, followed by a red light session over one area of the body — choose skin repair for the face or body, or deep tissue for tight muscles and joints. It closes with a Find Your Well neuroacoustic audio treatment, a guided audio experience designed to help your nervous system settle into a state of ease.

Throughout October, The Deep Reset is free with any regularly priced service. Consider it your excuse to try everything.

Make It a Habit Alessandra's clients asked, and she listened. A Okay just launched two brand new monthly memberships. The A Okay Membership ($525 a month) includes up to 10 visits each billing cycle. Choose a 30, 45, or 60 minute session on the BodyShape treadmill, the horizontal bike, or both, then follow it with up to 30 minutes on the Infraroller or SensoPro, as available. That covers the twice-a-week routine with room to spare.

If recovery and balance work are more your speed, The Roller + SensoPro Membership ($295 a month) gives you unlimited Infraroller and SensoPro sessions.

Mark Your Calendar Small group acupuncture evenings are becoming a regular event at A Okay, and the next one is The Deep Sleep on Wednesday, October 14, from 7 to 8pm. Space is very limited, so book early through A Okay's booking page. In the meantime, the Find Your Well audio treatments are free on the A Okay website. Press play tonight and see how you sleep.

Trust me, you won't want to miss what's next.
