GG’s LIST OF WHAT TO DO IN #snOMG 2016
1. Cook – and by cook we mean throw all the sh^% in your fridge into one pot.
Whether you have state of the art appliances or an easy bake oven, the beautiful platform of Pinterest has allowed all of the Betty Crocker’s and non BC’s among us have a chance at cooking by providing a plethora of recipes. Didn’t go food shopping before the #snOMG hit? Don’t worry – there is such a thing as throwing everything in your fridge inti a pot and letting it stew. No, I don’t know what this is called but it exists and we don’t advise mixing donuts with veggies.
2. Workout….With Your Handbag
Tune into the network channels that are focused solely on fitness and get your jam on. Don’t have dumbbells? Use a coffee table book or your handbag as weights – You’d be amazed at how heavy they actually are after a few reps.
3. Organize Your Life…Or A Drawer
Organizing things into a system that makes sense can be a seriously draining exercise but if you are one of those special people who actually enjoys it then take this day to get things in order! Clothes, bathroom and kitchen cabinets and coat closets galore – whether you start with a drawer or a room today time is in your side!
4. Go For A Silent Walk
With the daily bings, dings and rings of life, social media and technology have made the opportunity to relax in silence near impossible. But something about the snow brings a different stillness to life – bundle up and go for a walk. Let the silence of the snow settle in and feel the refreshing rejuvenation that the snow brings. Keep your iPhone in your pocket (unless you are taking photos then facebook, tweet, insta, pin, vibe, shazam, snapchat that asap.)
5. Call A Friend …or Anyone
Getting cabin fever? Time to raid your contacts! Call up just about anyone you feel like talking to – we advise following up with those you haven’t talked to in a while. Days like today offer a chance to catch up and think outside the box of what your usual day to days may bring. Trust us just about everyone will pick up.
6. Implement The Drop By
Super bored? Dropping by someones house unannounced is NEVER okay but today all bets are off. Call ahead (have some couth) and pop by your friends who are close by to check in. Nothing like a good gab session about #snOMG
7. Bingewatch
Personally I do this on a regular basis, well whenever I have a day to relax, but if you haven’t tried it this is my favorite kind of binging around. Watch every episode of one season or all seasons of a show you have been meaning to watch – you will be amazed at how fast time flies.
8. Booze
When all else fails make a stiff bloody and see where the vodka takes you.
