With summer just around the corner, restaurants all around Fairfield County are opening their doors for food, festivals, and fun! This week specifically, Stamford and New Canaan have events planned for this upcoming weekend.
Starting in Stamford, The Beer Garden at Shippan Landing is back with the CountryFest starting Thursday, May 18th through Sunday, May 21st! Thursday/Friday doors open to the festivities at 4pm, and on Saturday/Sunday doors are open at 2pm. At the CountryFest you will find live music by B-Slide Band, Jump the Gunn, and Cal Kehoe, food from HAPA (Food Truck), Colony Grill, Bang Burger, Nosh Hound and Magee’s Little Pigs. With live music and great food, there is no doubt that the CountryFest will get you in the mood for summer!! Head on down this Thursday-Sunday for a festive summer night with great food and drinks!
New Canaan is also getting in the summer mood with its Food Revolution Day on Saturday, May 20th at Pop Up Park from 10am-12pm. The event is celebrating its fourth year running on Saturday with delicious food, outdoor entertainment, and fun for the whole family. The festival was inspired by famous British chef, Jamie Oliver, and focuses on promoting healthier lifestyles and encouraging families to cook more. Activities that people of all ages can look forward to are live music, performances from the community, and the Bravery Passport, designed to encourage young children to try new foods and earn a stamp with every bite they take! Everyone who attends the event will receive a Bravery Passport and those who complete the Passport with be entered into a raffle to win some prizes! Tickets for the event can be found on their facebook page and their website! Summer came early this year with the upcoming May festivals!
