If you don’t have children then chances are that the only thing you know about Elf on a Shelf is that it is an Elf who apparently hangs out on a shelf. My knowledge does not extend that much farther than that – I know this said Elf goes to the North Pole every night and is supposedly tight with Santa [name dropper]. It is said that he gives a report on whether the littles ones were naughty or nice that day. It is not exactly common knowledge that this is by far THE BEST most brilliant marketing tactic and ploy to getting little ones all over the world to behave like angels for the month leading to Christmas but the creativity of parents all over the world that we have observed with these little elves is beyond impressive.
