They are a “premiere European Gastropub” in Westport and the “sister restaurant to American-themed Walrus + Carpenter”. They draw inspiration from Alsace, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland and offer both dinner and lunch, not to mention a kids menu and wine and drink lists. Dishes on the menu include roasted oysters, rabbit poutine, escargot, bratwurst, steak frites, winter spätzle, croque madame, and so much more. You will feel as if you were traveling around Europe after a visit to Rothbard Ale + Larder, so obviously, you have to pay them a visit!
The Whelk: If you’re looking for a unique and eclectic seafood-inspired restaurant, then look no further than The Whelk! For lunch or dinner, their menu is chocked full of delicious bites and meals like pig tails, crab toast, scallop crudo, seafood stew, squid ink cavatelli, shrimp + grits, a mouthwatering raw bar…They truly have everything to satisfy your New England palette with interesting yet tasty dishes as well as classic yet comfy plates. They have a pretty intoxicating dessert menu, as well, and their drink list with have you drooling. You need to check out The Whelk ASAP!

Vine Wine Room has the best in wine from around the globe as well as a long list of craft beer and cocktails to fit everyone’s tastes. Vine also works with “local artisans” to create a menu of “hand-selected cheese, charcuterie and small snack plates designed to complement its inspired but approachable beverage list”. Intimate yet sophisticated, classic yet modern, Vine Wine Room is the perfect place to sit back and relax after a long day of exploring. You can even add to the experience with some pasta, salad, or chicken, as if you hadn’t had enough food already.

A women’s fashion boutique, Alegre sells jeans, dresses, tops, sweaters, and more for all occasions, whether it’s the perfect outfit for the summer season or a stunning ensemble for a night on the town. They are affordable and pride themselves on their “personalized one-on-one shopping approach”. What could be better? We bet our bottom dollar that you will spend all of yours at Alegre.
