Spring is finally here, and we’re taking off on our next journey in our “A Day With GG In…” series. Today is Chappaqua!
House of 29: To start the day with some boutique-ing, check out House of 29, which is one of our all time favorites ever! Not only does it have the best stuff to make for a fantastic haul, but the owners are so passionate about fashion that you will literally feel as if a stylist had handpicked everything personally for you. What else could you want on a shopping spree? This fashion house, a Lifestyle Boutique by Sarah, focuses on selling from designers who are “just about to his the mainstream”, and their swag includes clothing, accessories, fine jewelry, fashion jewelry, and more. Their style targets those seeking classic and “unique basics and staples that are timeless and classic, yet have a bit of an edge”, so you will cover all the bases. They even have an online store coming soon! Check them out!!
Chappaqua Station: Next up, food. This fabulous restaurant and bar, Chappaqua Station, is a recently renovated hot spot right near the local train station, and you wouldn’t believe how busy this place gets. Behind the restaurant are collaborators Erin and Peter Chase and renowned chef Alan Ashkinaze, all of whom are seasoned in the restaurant business and guarantee to deliver a great experience each and every time. They focus on “sourcing high quality local products as well as the talents of passionate artisans, growers and purveyors”, making their food comforting from cultivation to plate. You can grab a quick breakfast and coffee in the AM or stick around for a leisurely lunch and dinner later on, and there are always events going on. For breakfast, some delectable items include coconut chia seed pudding, quiche Lorraine, avocado toast, and more, not to mention a long list of coffees, teas, espresso drinks, and fresh baked goods. For lunch and dinner there are protein bowls, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, avocado toasts, and many small dishes to choose from, and their scrumptious cocktail list will have you praying for the weekend. We love it here!
