Over the few years of Greenwich Girl being in business, Laura McKittrick, Founder and Editor, has taken what started as a very basic ‘blog’ and, thanks to her relentless perseverance, she figured out how to monetize GG as a media publication, and continued to grow herself and the brand by turning GG into a multi-channel media outlet including a bi monthly magazine publications.
Laura has made headlines on the regular over the years, often heavily involved in all levels of local discussions, conversations and community development decisions, and has been featured in many local publications as well as a few international outlets. In recognition of forward thinking in the media and publication industry, Laura has been given various honors specifically highlighting her creative approach and determination to find what actually works in a world that is over saturated by media tactics that are often not as effective as they claim to be. Among these accomplishments Laura was voted one of the Top 100 Lifestyle Blogs To Follow on a national basis by Disney, she has received numerous awards on her marketing strategy combination methods and has been kudo’d for her out of the box approach to implementing ideas on a range of sizes scales, all the while doing so single handedly.

Most notably, as a result of her grass-root beginning, McKittrick uses a self-created strategy and formula that she developed to continuously address the evolution and growth of the GG media brand.
In more recent news, for those who are familiar with Laura’s humble beginnings, aka when GG first came came to life, Laura’s original intention for creating the GG website was only to create and establish a digital presence so that she could get an actual book deal for the four part fiction novel series she wrote, the first titled Greenwich Girl. With the hope of gaining the publishers attention and building the familiarity of the GG name with a broad audience, Laura primarily used gorilla marketing tactics for the firat two years, when, up until that point, Laura had been rejected (93x to be exact) due to what she was told was a “lack of a digital presence.”
Fast forward and as of today, February 1, 2022, Laura officially has received a two book deal with not only an agent but with a very well known publishing house whom she is honored to be represented by.
As the books near completion the evolution of the book series and any information that we are able to share will be shared as soon as we are able.

Laura has also officially been approved for a multi-geographic area based after-school program, where she will personally mentor young girls on self-esteem, and other self-reliance guidance in an effort to to assist in the growth of every young GG’s confidence on a local basis. Laura will resume teaching over 70 young girls this spring for one hour a week after school, for a total of 12 weeks each year.
Laura is deeply rooted in the community of her hometown Greenwich, CT. She is always brainstorming, discussing and creating new initiatives to support local and further expand local business’ awareness, primarily through establishing stronger forms of unity among Ellie GG’s who share the pursuit of preserving and bettering the town in any way they can.
Laura spearheaded the Jr Board at the Greenwich YMCA several years ago and sat as Chairwoman for four and half years. Additionally, Laura sits on the SaksFifthAvenue Advisory Council and several other boards in town.
