There are definitely some unwritten rules to getting a spray tan to make sure you don’t streak or look crazy after getting it, and the Greenwich Girl has got you with some amazing spray tan tips to prep you for that amazing tan. Though there are plenty of great tips for spray tans, there are some that are extremely important. Spray tans are a great way to make it look like you just went on a beachy vacation, or to even get that sun-kissed look year round.
To prep for a spray tan there is a ton you can do! Get your eyebrows and nails done before the spray-tan so you do not stain any party of your nails or face that you don’t want to have color on. Exfoliate before your spray tan so you get the dead skin off, making the tan look as even and natural as possible. Shave before you get your spray tan, if you shave directly after, it will cause major streaking and spotting, eliminating that natural and even look that everyone wants to get from their spray tan. Get any waxing and threading done before your spray tans. After the spray tan is equally as important. After the spray tan do not under any circumstances shower for at least six to eight hours after. This will prevent the tan from streaking and basically coming off right after you get it. Do not shave or exfoliate until after the initial shower or else, again, it would cause streaking. These are just some of the most important tips to keep your spray tan in tact, and keep that sun-kissed look as long as possible!
