DIY are the perfect gifts to bring to any event and can even help spruce up any kind of table setting or house decoration. A little DIY goes a long way. They can be pretty simple and still make a cute impact that leaves your guest or recipient of the DIY gift smiling for days. DIY gifts are pretty fun and easy to make and are always a great way to let some of your creativity shine.
The first DIY project is very simple, flowers in mason jars as a centerpiece. Head over to McArdle’s flower shop here in Greenwich and pick out any flowers that catch your eye. They can be as cheap or as expensive as you’d like. Look at rainbow roses, peonies and much more. Then go over to Michael’s craft store and grab a mason jar, it can be any color you’d like. Tie the ends of the flower stems together using a string or even just rubber band them and fill the mason jar halfway, or more with water, place your flowers in the jar and voila! You’ve got yourself gorgeous table settings that didn’t take up all your time. The flower arrangements can be anything, so just do whatever you’d like! Sticking with this theme of mason jars, the second DIY is a mason jar watermelon glass. Go to your local craft store and pick up some green twine and black paint. Wrap the twine around the bottom of the mason jar and paint around the outside black seeds, they can be placed anywhere. Next fill the drink up with watermelon juice, strawberry lemonade or anything that looks pink and you’re sipping out of a watermelon! Try out these great DIY’s this summer.
