We have much more than sunshine to look forward to this spring. With a storefront already up on Mason Street the Mt. Kisco Smokehouse is finishing up their construction to open their second location right here in town. With a projected opening date of late March there is much anticipation and excitement following this well known staple from Mt. Kisco. What differentiates this Smokehouse from all others is that not only is it family run and operated, and has been for 16 years, but they smoke their own seafood and only sell their own! The GRW location will be retail only and the family will be expanding the menu to offer a variety of options for customers to choose from. All foods are prepared and smoked on premise at the Mt. Kisco location under the strict supervision of owner William Hurtado, Hernan Hurtado and Harold Hurtado, who have over two decades of smokin’ experience, and will be delivered daily to the GRW location. Hernan Jr. and William Jr. will be carrying on their family’s business by expanding into GRW with a second location which they will be running. I am so excited to try the variety of what they will be offering including a variety of Scotch and Nova Salmon, trout, whitefish, sable, sturgeon, baked salmon, smoked mussels, and smoked shrimp. The MKS [Mt. Kisco Smokehouse] also carry a lage range of imported cheeses, caviar, olives, breads and other delicacies.
Having opened in 1998 the Mt Kisco smokehouse has been offering the best smoked fish products in the New York, tri-state and metropolitan areas. The Mt. Kisco Smokehouse sells their products directly to some of the finests restaurants and retail establishments all over… including Manhattan.
